By Vicki Vodrey

It's been eighteen months since Trevvor's ex, Sue, left him. Since then, he's done everything she had wanted -- quit drinking, watched his diet, stayed on top of his diabetes. He's even named his new dog after her. Tonight, his planned “surprise” meeting is set to happen at her office. Will Sue take him back? Will it backfire? Because, as everyone knows, love can be great, but sometimes, love bites.

Following its first staged reading at MDC in December, the Fringe staging of Sue Aside... is a co-production between Vodrey’s Lot In Life Productions and Phoenix KC Theatre. It will be directed by Warren Deckert and features Scott Cox and Laura Jacobs.

"You never know where a play will take you,” Vodrey says. “Sue Aside... started out as what I thought would be a comedy based on some of the problems I had when I first got my dog, Harry. But as it evolved, it led to the examination of fractured relationships that humans encounter. And even if you know that a relationship should end, it's not always easy to make the break. Or keep the break.”

Sue Aside… will be performed at the Just Off Broadway (3051 Penn Valley Dr.) at the following times:

7/18 - Saturday - 6:30pm
7/19 - Sunday - 2:00pm
7/21 - Tuesday - 8:00pm
7/24 - Friday - 6:30pm
7/25 - Saturday - 9:30pm
