Nick Sawin's "Queer Thoughts: The Monologues" reading Oct. 12

Queer Thoughts: The Monologues by Nick Sawin

Directed by Teresa Leggard

Queer Thoughts: The Monologues presents a series of LGBT stories told in queered ways, finding intersections with poetry and creative nonfiction. Two actors take on multiple characters: a writer, a waterbear, a voyeur, a commuter, Walt Whitman, a BuzzFeed contributor at a bonfire, Oscar Wilde, a photographer, a sound-sex poet, and others crack open their minds to unveil their innermost desires, demons and dreams.

Please join us on Monday, October 12 for the first reading from one of Midwest Dramatists Center's newest class of resident playwrights.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The reading begins at 7:30 and the one-hour reading will be followed by a talkback with the playwright, director, and cast. The Midwest Dramatists Center is located at the Writer's Place, 3607 Pennsylvania Ave.

Cost: As with all MDC readings, no reservations required and it's FREE!
