Darren Canady's "March Madness" June 11

MARCH MADNESS
A devised exploration curated by Darren Canady

Using devised theatre techniques of improvisation and discussion, performers and audience members alike will participate in the ground-level development of a new theatre piece. Inspired by the events that toppled the administration of the University of Missouri and ignited calls for change at the University of Kansas, March Madness will eventually examine the collision of race, sports, social justice, and higher learning.

This month’s MDC offering will be a theatre “lab” in which the playwright will guide a group of actors through a series of improvisations followed by a lively talkback about what discoveries have been made.

Come be part of the process!
