Michelle T. Johnson's "StoryWorks KC: Justice in the Embers" at the Living Room Feb 4-20

KCPT, The Center for Investigative Reporting and Kansas City's The Living Room Theater present StoryWorks KC: Justice in the Embers, an exploration of the 1988 explosion in south Kansas City that caused the tragic deaths of six Kansas City firefighters.

The production, written by MDC playwright Michelle T. Johnson, is inspired in part by the Kansas City Star reporting of Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Mike McGraw, who has been writing about the case since 2007. Join StoryWorks KC for a community airing and theatrical exploration of the issues—local and universal, touching on justice, equality and belief—that arise from this tragic Kansas City story.

This event runs Thursday through Saturday from February 4-20 at 8pm with 3pm matinees on Saturdays. Discount tickets for groups 10 or more and complimentary tickets available for anyone who has worked or does work for the KCFD; Please contact Sandy at 816-756-3580 or swoodson@kcpt.org for more information.
